The jailer guild has abandoned their greatest dungeon because it is not profitable anymore and sealed it of and leaving inmates, monsters and lost guards there forever.
Your band of misfits are the last hope to rescue your friends, armed with discarded weapons and stolen magic you have to face the horrors down there because no-one else cares.
- Simple old-school dungeon crawler with modern RPG elements
- Find all 10 prisoners to escape the dungeon
- Every time you rest to heal your party tougher monsters wander the dungeons
- Each attack or defence is a has 3 skill checks. First you check if you succeed, then you check if you either land a critical success or a fumble if you failed.
- Depending on the result you can choose multiple actions
- All attributes range from 01 to 99. You need to roll with a D100 below your skill to succeed.
This prototype was made in a roughly a week. I was teaching last semester the Game A Week class at the University of Europe Berlin, basically a class where my students made 10 game jams in a row. When they started working on the theme "Punk" and "Feedback Loops" I also wanted to make one, joined the Berlin Minigame Jam and that's the result.
This game is inspired by Bard's Tale the first CRPG I ever played and after Rebecca Heineman, the lead programmer of Bard's Tale 3 sadly passed away last November I really wanted to make a dungeon crawler with fixed angles and text based combat.
Originally I started this as a test on how far Claude.AI could make a Unity game but quickly abandoned this did the rest of the coding myself. All shitty artworks are made by me by hand with a pencil and not with genAI.
3D dice models are by Armor and Rum

The game is open source. The source code is on Github and contribution or mods are welcomed. Beware of weird ugly AI code.
